Supporting St Michael's Hospice
St Michael’s Hospice provides high quality, responsive palliative care and bereavement support across Hastings and Rother, and working collaboratively with others to improve end of life care for all.
St Michael’s Hospice is committed to providing person-centred care which means tailoring support to the needs of each individual. The Hospice works in partnership with patients and their families to identify what matters to them, what is making life difficult including troublesome symptoms or changes in day to day functioning, alongside any worries or spiritual concerns. Multi-disciplinary teams then create a personalised offer of palliative care support which is the best fit for the person at that moment, and adapts this, if and when things change.
Supporting approximately 1,700 people per year, the Hospice’s integrated multi-disciplinary teams deliver supportive care, symptom control and support to patients and families through its In-Patient Unit, Wellbeing Programme, Community Services, Bereavement Support and Hospice Neighbours. St Michael’s Hospice is a registered charity, which needs to raise over £14,400 every day, to run the Hospice.
